Insomnia Treatment
in Meath

Insomnia can mean struggling to fall asleep, waking during the night, waking too early, or sleeping without feeling properly rested.

Over time, sleep can become something you think about more and more. You may start worrying about whether you will sleep tonight, watching the clock, changing routines, or trying harder to make sleep happen.

The problem is that the more important sleep becomes, the more frustrating and difficult it can feel. Tiredness during the day can then affect your mood, concentration, work and relationships.

My Therapy for insomnia focuses on understanding what is keeping the sleep problem going and gradually helping you rebuild a more natural relationship with sleep.

  • Difficulty falling asleep even when you feel tired

  • Waking during the night and struggling to get back to sleep

  • Waking earlier than you want to

  • Thinking or worrying about sleep during the day

  • Feeling tired, irritable or unable to concentrate

  • A growing sense that you have lost the ability to sleep naturally

How I work with it

We do not try to force change or push you to feel differently straight away.

We start by slowing things down and understanding what your day-to-day experience is like. That might include low energy, reduced motivation, or the sense that things feel harder than they used to.

From there, we work gradually towards helping you feel a little more steady and engaged, finding small ways to rebuild movement and energy over time. More details in this Blog

Insomnia
How this can feel

You don’t need to know why you can’t sleep

You may have tried changing your routine, going to bed earlier, staying in bed longer, or doing everything you can to get a good night’s sleep.

You may have tried different routines, earlier nights, later nights, supplements, apps or simply trying harder.

The first step is understanding what is keeping you awake.
